Effective Learning from Learning Materials
Effective learning results from instructional practices. However, almost every teaching approach necessitates the use of properly chosen, well-thought-out, imaginatively created, and successfully implemented learning materials.
Learning materials refers generally to the tools that students employ. Learning resources can facilitate learning and improve student achievement. The ideal learning materials will be those that are suited to the subject matter being covered, the learners being taught, and the teacher. Learning resources come in a wide variety of forms and dimensions, but they all share the ability to promote classroom instruction.
Text and multimedia are included in the learning materials for all subject areas. They can be used by students on their own or as part of a lesson in class, and teachers can utilize them to enhance or substitute for a conventional textbook. In the framework of the education policies and the requirements of the educational curriculum, the creation and development of learning materials for education gives justification indicating the necessity for their creation and production. It covers the necessity of educational resources in the classroom. It enumerates and discusses the primary sources for the various kinds of available learning materials. In order to describe the creation of learning materials in some areas of study, it follows the processes of the theories and fundamentals of curriculum development. It outlines the standards for evaluating learning materials.
Different viewpoints can be used to define learning theories. A collection of concepts known as learning theories serve to clarify the rules, principles, and concepts that underpin education and learning. Learning, of course, encompasses not only the acquired knowledge via study but also all the events to which the learner is subjected, as a result of which the student’s experiences and engagement with the outside environment may contribute to a better behavioral shift or cognitive intelligence.
Learning theories are essential for several reasons. They support the attainment of learning goals and learning objectives as well as the acquisition of new skills by students. They also assist in providing an acceptable framework within which learning may operate. They support or direct the whole planning, organizing, carrying out, and assessing of instructional procedures. They make an effort to explain how people learn as well as to suggest instructional strategies and materials.
