We have resumed our in-person classes. According to DepEd, a series of discussions with child health specialists and interested stakeholders were held prior to the start of in-person classes to ensure a safe return to schools with careful consideration of safe teaching and learning. Our 1st Quarter Grade 5 Daily Lesson Log | SY 2022 – 2023 DLL are now available to assist teachers in their daily lesson preparations.

We appreciate all of the Contributors, File Editors, and Tech Volunteers who devotedly and unreservedly handled the material of our website and social media accounts. Thank you to each and every one of you for your ongoing encouragement and ideas.

Lesson Planning | Daily Lesson Preparations

The didactic unit is a work unit that integrates a central organizational theme with program objectives, contents, methodology, and assessment. The lesson planning, which is the quantity of the didactic units delivered, must be the main focus of the proposal in the educational planning. To effectively plan a didactic unit, it is crucial to clearly define the goals and objectives, identify the basic and supplementary or supporting content, plan various activities for the development of the same content, employ various grouping strategies, have a wide range of resources, customize the evaluation components, etc. As a result, a set of policies must be put in place to allow students to get the best education possible given their individual traits, aptitudes, capacities, interests, and motivations.

There are two approaches that can be used to establish didactic unit planning. These approaches are both inductive and deductive.

By using a deductive approach, it is necessary to arrange the elements of the teaching and learning process in the following order: creating didactic goals, extracting material, planning activities, allocating space, time, and resources, and assessment.

An inductive technique, on the other hand, means that the planning is done in accordance with the typology, structure, and task sequence. A brainstorming board can be finished by taking into account the intended tasks and using a cleaning out procedure. The instructional objectives, materials, methodological considerations, etc. for each classroom activity will be listed on this board and distributed.

Both approaches must permit holistic and systemic lesson planning scenarios, activities, and assessments that interact in order to produce an integrated curriculum that directs students’ educational training.

Choosing the contents in lesson planning.

Because scientific knowledge is too extensive and keeps growing, it is essential that the materials taught be chosen and related in accordance with specific criteria. Two categories of criterion exist:

a) Psychological importance. Students receive extensive instruction that enables them to begin coherently digesting the knowledge, procedures, and aptitudes. In order to comprehend it and develop new inclusive ideas within its cognitive structure, students must make connections between previously learned material and present knowledge. If this is not the case, the student will memorize knowledge in order to pass a memory test in the short term, but later on, the student will forget what they have learned. It is important to keep in mind the concept of content functionality at the same time. This means that what kids are going to study needs to be relevant to their interests and needs and must be helpful in order to comprehend real circumstances and solve difficulties that must be dealt with on a daily basis.

b) Logic importance. It refers to the subject’s logical structure. It aims to set out the crucial parts from the less significant ones. To facilitate a process of knowledge construction in lesson planning, the content that will be delivered to the student needs to be arranged. It must also have a well-organized internal structure that enables pupils to construct a process of meaning construction. The teacher’s demonstrations of the material must follow a logical order. As a result, both the presentation and the substance are crucial. It is also crucial to include fields of knowledge that go beyond the conventional ones that are founded on various academic subjects, like science.
