According to DENR NCR:

Air quality in some cities of Metro Manila, especially those closest to Taal Volcano, were affected of the ash fall.

The amount of Particulate Matter 10 (or PM10) in these areas shot up to levels that may pose danger to people who have health problems such as bronchitis, emphysema, or asthma.

PM10 are particles with a diameter of 10 micrometers. These particles are so fine that they are also called “respirable” particulate matter. The public is therefore advised to exercise caution when going outside and to wear masks and goggles for protection.

DENR National Capital Region will continue monitoring ang updating the public on the matter. Stay safe in your homes and be on the lookout for the latest public advisories.
