Grade 6 MATATAG Summative Test – Quarter 1 (Weeks 1 to 8) with Answer Keys

Last Updated: June 24, 2025

To help strengthen the foundation of learning among Grade 6 students, the Department of Education (DepEd) has developed a curriculum that focuses on essential skills and knowledge. In support of this, we’ve prepared a complete set of Grade 6 Quarter 1 Summative Tests for Weeks 1 to 8. These assessments cover key subjects such as English, Math, Science, Araling Panlipunan, ESP (Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao), Filipino, MAPEH, and TLE.

Each test is designed to help track weekly learning progress and can be used for classroom assessments, homework, or additional practice at home. Whether you’re a teacher looking for dependable materials or a parent supporting learning at home, these resources are ready to assist.

What Are Grade 6 Summative Tests?

Grade 6 summative tests are more than just a checklist of what learners know. These weekly assessments are important tools that help teachers understand how well students are keeping up with the lessons. Covering core subjects like English, Math, Science, Filipino, GMRC and Araling Panlipunan, these tests are designed to match the actual topics taught in class each week.

For many teachers, these tests serve as a mirror. They show which lessons clicked and which ones may need a little more time and explanation. If most students struggled with a math skill or a grammar rule, the results provide a clear signal: reteach, review, or find a new way to explain.

School heads can also use these results to spot patterns across classes. If learners in different sections all find the same topic difficult, it may be time to revisit the materials or offer training support for teachers.

Even parents benefit from these tests. They help identify if a child needs extra help at home or if enrichment is needed for more advanced learners.

Grade 6 summative tests aren’t just about grades. They help build better teaching, stronger students and smarter support systems throughout the school.
