A Daily Lesson Log (DLL) is a teacher’s tool that outlines the lesson’s objectives, content and activities for the day. Developed as part of the Department of Education’s (DepEd) lesson planning policy, the DLL helps ensure that teaching is organized, focused and aligned with the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs). More than just a formal requirement, the DLL supports teachers in managing their classrooms effectively by preparing them to handle both instruction and behavior management smoothly.
