The Department of Education (DepEd) officially launched the 2025 Summer Programs through DepEd Order No. 010, s.2025, released on April 7, 2025. These programs aim to address the learning losses in foundational reading and numeracy among Filipino learners based on the alarming findings from the 2024-2025 Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA).
To support teachers, learners and schools in implementing these initiatives, we are offering free downloadable files that are fully aligned with DepEd’s summer interventions. These materials are structured around key programs outlined in the Order:
Key Summer Programs Covered by the Free Files
- Bawat Bata Makababasa (BBM) Program: A 20-day reading tutorial for Grades 1–3 learners in selected areas.
- Literacy Remediation Program: Designed for Grade 3 learners transitioning to Grade 4, focusing on English reading proficiency.
- Summer Academic Remedial Program: For Grades 4–12 learners who failed one or two subjects, ensuring mastery of missed competencies.
- Regional Remediation Programs: Regional-level support in reading and math.
- 2025 Learning Camp: A four-week learning and teaching recovery program implemented in 10 pilot schools across MATATAG regions.
