Lessons inside Grade 3 Quarter 2 Week 6 Daily Lesson Logs
In English, learners strengthen their vocabulary by practicing high-frequency and content-specific words. They work with informational texts to identify details, determine problems and solutions and express ideas clearly. Writing exercises focus on creating simple yet meaningful texts. Filipino lessons highlight comprehension of informative texts such as news or weather updates. Learners explore the use of prepositions in context, write meaningful sentences and create short paragraphs using compound sentences.
For GMRC, the focus is on nurturing compassion through family practices in caring for the environment. Students reflect on how household habits influence personal responsibility toward nature. Makabansa emphasizes cultural identity with lessons on traditional foods, games, dances and attire. Learners also study maps and express pride in their community and heritage.
Mathematics lessons develop problem-solving skills in addition and subtraction up to four-digit numbers including money. Learners practice estimation strategies and subtraction using expanded forms. In Science, learners explore the basic needs of living things such as air, water, food and shelter. They understand how plants and animals depend on these needs for survival.
