Last Updated: August 20, 2025. As the second quarter unfolds, classrooms across the country take on a new rhythm. Bulletin boards are refreshed with updated charts, new reading materials line the shelves and teachers prepare activities that signal a shift from review to deeper exploration. Quarter 1 laid the groundwork by establishing routines, introducing foundational skills and setting expectations. Now, Quarter 2 invites both teachers and learners to build on that foundation, moving into more complex lessons and hands-on applications. This is where the DepEd Lesson Exemplars Quarter 2 | SY 2025–2026 come in.
Far from being simple lesson outlines, these exemplars provide a structured yet flexible guide that helps teachers connect content standards, performance standards and weekly competencies. They serve as a practical roadmap ensuring that lessons move forward in sequence while still leaving room for creativity, collaboration and contextualization. With these exemplars as a guide, every classroom enters Quarter 2 with clarity and direction, ready to meet the challenges and opportunities of the months ahead.
Lesson Exemplars (LEs) are DepEd-aligned weekly guides anchored on the MATATAG Curriculum and the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs). They connect Content Standards, Performance Standards, Learning Competencies and daily activities into one seamless plan. For teachers, LEs bring confidence that lessons are standards-based and structured. For learners, they ensure each week builds toward mastery of skills whether it’s reading with fluency, solving algebraic equations, or reflecting on Filipino values.
