DepEd Quarter 2 Weekly Lesson Exemplars LE Compilation | SY 2025–2026

Last Updated: September 24, 2025

The second quarter of the school year shift from building routines to developing higher-order thinking. At this stage, learners move beyond memorizing basics from Quarter 1 and begin applying knowledge in meaningful ways. To support this transition, the Department of Education (DepEd) provides Lesson Exemplars (LEs) for Quarter 2. These ready-to-use guides ensure that classroom instruction remains structured, age-appropriate and aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum.

Why are Lesson Exemplars Important?

Lesson Exemplars connect Content Standards, Performance Standards and Learning Competencies. They help teachers deliver lessons that are sequential and standards-based while still allowing flexibility for creativity and local context. For teachers, exemplars provide a clear framework that builds confidence in teaching. For learners, they guarantee consistency in mastering subjects whether it is reading comprehension, solving math problems or understanding civic values.

What’s Inside the Quarter 2 Week 6 Exemplars

The exemplars cover all grade levels with progressive focus areas. In Kindergarten, children learn about community helpers, symbols and respect in shared spaces through play-based songs and role-play. Grade 1 explores descriptive sentences in Language and numbers up to 100 in Mathematics while Grade 2 strengthens reading fluency, introduces regrouping in Math, and highlights barangay roles in Araling Panlipunan.

Higher grades advance to more complex topics. Grade 3 tackles multiplication, fractions and plant studies in Science. Grade 4 introduces legends in Filipino, critical reading in English and matter changes in Science. By Grade 5, learners work with fractions, decimals and ecosystems, while in Grades 7 and 8, students engage in argumentative writing, algebra, genetics, and Asian history.

Quarter 2 Lesson Exemplars ensure continuity, progression and mastery across subjects. More than academic guides, they nurture creativity, resilience and character which are qualities central to DepEd’s MATATAG vision of lifelong learning.
