The Learning Activity Sheets Quarter 2 is significant in sustaining learner progress through the midterm stage of the school year. By this time, students have completed their first periodical tests and teachers are recalibrating strategies while parents provide stronger academic support at home. The Quarter 2 LAS are designed to reinforce key competencies, extend practice beyond the classroom and prepare learners for more complex lessons in alignment with the DepEd MATATAG Curriculum.
More than supplementary worksheets, LAS function as structured learning tools that ensure continuity between classroom instruction and independent study. They cover all major subject areas, contextualized to learners’ grade levels and are particularly effective in strengthening mastery of essential skills.

The Learning Activity Sheets Quarter 2 for SY 2025–2026 provide an organized, comprehensive and curriculum-aligned resource from Kindergarten to Grade 8. This compilation ensures that every child is supported in achieving academic success and readiness for future challenges.
- Kindergarten. Quarter 2 LAS for Kindergarten expand a child’s world from family to community and nature. Worksheets cover literacy (alphabet, blending, days of the week), math (patterns, shapes, measurements) and values (school rules, community helpers, honesty). Learners also observe weather changes, practice fine-motor creativity and express themselves through art.
- Grade 1. Grade 1 LAS sharpen literacy through phonics, sight words and short story comprehension. Math introduces addition and subtraction within 20, while values lessons highlight family routines and respect for community helpers. Worksheets often use familiar scenarios like sharing snacks or returning crayons to make learning relatable.
- Grade 2. In Quarter 2, Grade 2 LAS bring in deeper reading comprehension, Filipino culture-based stories, regrouping in math and basic fractions. Science covers senses and matter, while AP highlights community roles. Learners also practice honesty, respect and cooperation through situational tasks.
- Grade 3. Grade 3 LAS focus on the transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn.” Worksheets strengthen comprehension, introduce multiplication/division, and dive into Filipino stories and science experiments. Learners also explore local history and geography in AP and reflect on respect and responsibility in GMRC.
- Grade 4. Grade 4 LAS deepen comprehension in English and Filipino, extend math into fractions and problem-solving and explore ecosystems in Science. AP highlights Philippine geography and heroes, while MAPEH nurtures creativity, fitness, and health. Practical skills come alive through EPP tasks like saving money or caring for tools.
- Grade 5. Quarter 2 LAS for Grade 5 push learners into higher-level comprehension, Filipino legends and real-life problem-solving with fractions and decimals. Science covers ecosystems and human body systems while AP highlights national history and geography. Worksheets also build practical life skills in EPP, teamwork in MAPEH and respect in GMRC.
- Grade 6. For Grade 6, Quarter 2 LAS prepare learners for the transition to junior high. English focuses on critical reading and writing, math advances to fractions, ratios, and introductory algebra, while science delves into energy, ecosystems, and the human body. AP emphasizes civic awareness, MAPEH enhances wellness and culture, and EPP builds readiness for real-life responsibilities.

How to Use the Learning Activity Sheets Quarter 2 Effectively
The effectiveness of LAS depends on purposeful use across grade levels:
- Kindergarten to Grade 2 – Activities should remain play-based and exploratory, allowing children to learn through interactive and engaging worksheets.
- Grade 3 to Grade 4 – Learners should gradually build independence, with LAS serving as reinforcement and formative assessment tools.
- Grade 5 to Grade 6 – Worksheets should encourage higher-order thinking, application of knowledge to real-world situations, and preparation for more advanced studies.
- Teachers may integrate LAS into lesson plans, while parents can use them as review and enrichment tools at home. Far from being “extra work,” these materials are designed to bridge classroom learning with practical life skills, ensuring consistency in student development.
