Overview of Grade 7 Quarter 3 Week 2 Learning Activity Sheets

The Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) under the MATATAG Curriculum focus on deepening comprehension, practical applications and critical thinking across all subject areas. Each of the Grade 7 Quarter 3 Week 2 Learning Activity Sheets is designed to promote mastery of competencies through contextual, interactive and real-life learning experiences. Students are guided to connect lessons to personal, social and national contexts reinforcing holistic development in language, values, science and the arts.

Assessment Objectives for Each Subject

English 7. Learners draw inferences about an author’s purpose and target audience using textual clues from passages such as “Our Oceans in Peril” and “A World of Creation.” Activities include analyzing real-world issues like ocean acidification and artificial intelligence, using graphic organizers to develop cause-and-effect reasoning and comparative analysis skills.

Filipino 7. The lesson, “Akdang Pangkagandahang-asal,” emphasizes moral values, good manners and cultural refinement. Through vocabulary enrichment, story analysis and reflective writing, students examine virtuous Filipino traits and their relevance in modern society.

Araling Panlipunan 7. Learners explore “Mga Pamamaraan ng Pagtatamo ng Kasarinlan ng mga Piling Bansa,” comparing how Southeast Asian nations gained independence. They analyze nationalist movements and heroic figures to understand the significance of freedom, unity and cultural identity.

Mathematics 7. The topic “Frequency Distribution Table and Graphical Representation of Data” develops learners’ skills in organizing data, computing percentages and constructing graphs. Real-life problem-solving activities integrate statistics with decision-making and interpretation of information.

Activities include interviews with role models, self-reflection and planning for personal growth.
