Kindergarten 3rd Quarter Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) / Worksheets Compilation SY 2025–2026

Overview of Kindergarten Quarter 3 Week 1 Learning Activity Sheets

The Kindergarten Quarter 3 Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) under the Department of Education’s MATATAG Curriculum are thoughtfully designed to guide both teachers and learners through meaningful, age-appropriate and integrated lessons that develop foundational skills in language, mathematics, values and socio-civic understanding. Quarter 3 focuses on expanding children’s curiosity about their environment, deepening their awareness of national identity and building readiness in reading, writing and numeracy.

Quarter 3 Kindergarten Assessment Goals

The third quarter in Kindergarten emphasizes holistic growth through play-based learning and exploration. The goal is to help learners demonstrate improved literacy, numeracy and socio-emotional skills while gaining confidence in expressing ideas and participating in collaborative tasks. Activities in this quarter align with MATATAG’s vision of building Matatag na Pilipino—learners who are confident, patriotic and prepared for lifelong learning.

By the end of the quarter, children are expected to recognize more letters and their corresponding sounds, count and compare numbers up to 20, describe common objects and places in the community and express their thoughts through drawing, storytelling and guided writing. Teachers assess not only academic understanding but also the learner’s participation, behavior and creativity, ensuring that every child grows cognitively and emotionally.

Key Subject Matter and 3rd Quarter Focus

The quarter’s language lessons continue the Marungko Approach, with each week introducing a new letter and its sound—such as Ll, Yy, Nn, Gg, NGng, Pp, Rr, and Dd. Activities like Hanapin ang Titik, Ayun, Nakita Ko!, and Basahin, Isulat, Iguhit help learners connect letters with familiar objects, practice inventive spelling, and develop phonemic awareness. Through simple reading and writing tasks, children learn to recognize beginning sounds, build vocabulary, and express themselves through pictures and words.

Math lessons introduce and strengthen number concepts from 11 to 20. Worksheets such as Mag-tally Tayo, All About 16, All About 20, and Higit ba o Kulang guide learners in counting, addition, and comparison of numbers. Activities using ten frames, tally marks and skip counting promote visual and logical understanding. Teachers model real-world applications by integrating counting with everyday tasks, ensuring that learners understand both the concept and its purpose.

The quarter nurtures love for country and community through contextual learning. Lessons include identifying the Mapa ng Pilipinas, the Watawat ng Pilipinas and important land and water forms (Mga Anyong Lupa at Tubig). Through these worksheets, learners develop a sense of national pride and belonging, recognizing their country’s symbols, geography, and cultural identity.

Worksheets like Eksperimento ng Siklo ng Tubig and Anong Pagkain introduce scientific thinking and observation. Learners draw and color processes such as evaporation, condensation and precipitation and classify animals and their sources of food. These activities promote curiosity and environmental care.

Throughout the quarter, artistic expression is embedded in every task such as coloring maps, illustrating stories and crafting letter mosaics. Worksheets such as Ang Nanay Ko and Saan Ka Nakatira develop empathy, family awareness and respect for others. Values such as discipline, respect, and gratitude are reinforced through guided discussions and creative outputs.

Worksheets and Instructional Model

Each LAS follows an interactive structure:

  • (1) motivation and guided instruction by the teacher,

  • (3) reflection or oral sharing.

Teachers act as facilitators—guiding children through observation, demonstration and discussion. The worksheets also encourage home involvement by including notes for parents or guardians, reinforcing learning through family participation.

Materials required include visual aids, flashcards, crayons, ten frames, base-10 blocks, storybooks and simple manipulatives such as counters or blocks. These support the MATATAG approach that integrates play, art and exploration into daily classroom practice.
