This week’s lessons for Grade 3 focus on building both academic skills and good character. Each activity encourages learners to understand their surroundings, express ideas clearly and participate actively in collaborative tasks. The lessons promote pride in local culture, respect for others and appreciation of hard work while strengthening foundational skills in reading, writing and numeracy. Students also explore creativity in music and arts, maintain wellness through health lessons and understand the importance of cooperation and positivity in daily life. Contents of Grade 3 Quarter 2 Week 8 Daily Lesson Logs

The Grade 3 2nd Quarter Weekly Daily Lesson Log integrates lessons that nurture communication, critical thinking and creativity across all learning areas.

Araling Panlipunan / Makabansa. Learners study the contributions of heroes from their own region and nearby provinces. Through stories and class discussions, they discover how courage and sacrifice shaped Philippine history and learn to value the identity of their community and nation.

English. Using the story “The Enormous Carrot,” students practice verbs in simple present and past tense while improving reading comprehension and oral retelling skills. Writing activities guide them to form clear sentences and short paragraphs that show understanding of grammar and sequence of ideas.

Filipino. This week focuses on using pang-uri or adjectives to describe people, objects and places. Learners write descriptive sentences, identify meaning through context clues, and develop the habit of expressing thoughts with clarity and creativity.

Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP). Lessons highlight cooperation, kindness, and emotional well-being. Pupils reflect on how positive actions and inspiring messages can help others. Activities such as creating motivational quotes and sharing them build self-awareness and empathy.

Mathematics. The focus is on division and estimation. Students divide numbers by 10, 100, and two-digit divisors while applying what they learn to real-life situations. These exercises enhance logical thinking and accuracy in solving mathematical problems.

Science. Learners identify the basic needs of humans, plants and animals such as air, food, water, and shelter. They explore how living things depend on one another and understand why caring for the environment helps maintain balance in nature.

MAPEH. Through integrated lessons in Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health, students sing with proper pitch, create textured animal drawings, join fun physical activities, and discuss ways to stay healthy and prevent diseases.
