Contents of Grade 5 Quarter 2 Week 5 Daily Lesson Logs
In Araling Panlipunan, learners examine the beginnings and spread of Islam in the Philippines appreciating how religion shaped culture and governance. They explore beliefs, practices and contributions that enriched early Filipino society.
In Filipino, students develop critical reading and writing skills through news articles. They analyze information, express opinions and apply grammar with focus on the actor-focus verb. Lessons also encourage respect for cultural and religious practices like Ramadan that foster inclusivity in communication.
Science lessons highlight the classification of living things. Learners distinguish the unique features of mammals, reptiles, insects, birds, fish, amphibians, fungi and bacteria. This builds deeper understanding of biodiversity and responsibility for its conservation.
In Mathematics, learners master addition and subtraction of decimals up to three places. Through real-life word problems involving money and health they strengthen accuracy, problem-solving and financial literacy skills.
For GMRC, emphasis is placed on family roles in nurturing faith. Learners reflect on prayer, traditions and shared responsibilities that strengthen values and spiritual growth.
In EPP, the focus is on poultry health management. Learners study common diseases, symptoms, prevention and natural remedies linking agricultural knowledge with practical community needs.
