President Rodrigo Duterte has signed into law a bill providing basic mental health services down to the barangay level while increasing the capacities of mental health professionals, his top aide said Thursday. Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go confirmed that the President approved Republic Act 11036, or the Philippine Mental Health Law, a measure that was shepherded in the Senate by opposition Senator Risa Hontiveros.
